I have been practicing massage therapy for over 20 years. I received my training at the Phillips School of Massage in Northern California, and I am certified in Bodywork for the Childbearing Year. I am an Infant Massage Instructor through IAMI and I am a Bouncing Back from Baby practitioner. My approach to bodywork is very personal, as I feel it is very important that each person receive the touch that is right for them. This comes from a place of deep listening and respect, honoring the healing process in each individual. I work with many styles from myofacial therapy to energy healing.
Prenatal massage may involve a variety of massage techniques along with stretching, visualization and aromatherapy. Massage can help relieve backaches, decrease edema, and increase self awareness. Postpartum massage can help a woman’s body adjust after the pregnancy and birth experience.
Each massage will be designed to address your individual needs. Various modalities will be incorporated, including Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, myofascial therapy, and energy work.
Bouncing Back from Baby
Bouncing Back From Baby is a series of four 90-minute massages aimed at helping the body return to pre-pregnancy alignment. Each session consists of anatomy education, myofascial and integrative therapies, and gentle yoga stretches. We will also honor the mind/body experience of childbirth and mothering.
Infant Massage assists with digestion, growth and deeper sleep. You will learn about intuition and touch, carrying and holding, and learn relaxation massage techniques for you and your baby.
